For Service Providers
Grow your client base — without the cold outreach
Techmatcher connects local tech professionals with non-technical clients who genuinely need their help. No bidding wars. No race to the bottom on price. Just qualified leads from people in your neighborhood who are ready to hire.
The problem every local tech pro knows
You’re good at what you do. Your existing clients love you. But finding new clients means competing on Google against national chains with massive ad budgets, posting on platforms that attract tire-kickers, or relying entirely on word of mouth and hoping it scales.
The people who need you most — seniors, small business owners, nonprofits, home users — aren’t finding you because they can’t describe what they need in the technical terms that search engines respond to. They type “laptop is slow” and get ads for Best Buy. They try a few searches, don’t find a trustworthy local option, and the problem goes unresolved.
Techmatcher bridges that gap. We translate plain-English problems into technical skill requirements, then route those clients directly to providers like you.
Pre-qualified leads, not cold traffic
Every client who finds you on Techmatcher has already described their problem, set a location, and in many cases selected the service category that fits their need. By the time they visit your profile, they aren’t browsing — they’re evaluating. That’s a fundamentally different kind of lead.
Our matching engine scores providers against each inquiry using a combination of keyword matching, skill alignment, proximity, and your service offerings. Providers who are a strong fit appear higher in results — and are flagged as Recommended to the client. The better your profile reflects your actual skills, the better your matches.
There’s no paying for placement. No bidding. Your ranking is earned, not bought. Even more, the platform analyzes the data on searches and provides you with tips, tools, and suggestions to make your profile more compelling to searchers. As we grow, this data will only get more detailed and richer for you to use.

Two ways to join — choose what fits your business
Techmatcher supports two provider types. Both appear in the same search results — the difference is how you work and how pricing is structured.
- →Business Provider — for IT firms and consultancies that want to grow. You define your own services, set your own pricing, and engage clients through a flexible proposal process. Best suited for businesses with existing staff, custom-scope engagements, or clients who need ongoing relationships. Free to create a profile.
- →Independent Technician— for individual tech professionals who want on-demand work. You select from a curated catalog of standard services with fixed, platform-set pricing. Clients know exactly what they’re paying upfront — which dramatically reduces friction. Requires a background check and our onboarding process before going live.
If you’re unsure which path fits, the Business Provider signup is the faster path to getting your profile live. The Independent Technician path takes longer due to our onboarding process but delivers higher-intent clients at fixed pricing.
Your profile is your mini-website
Every provider gets a public profile page with a shareable URL. Your profile shows your services, skills, community recognition badges, ratings from completed jobs, and a direct way for clients to initiate contact. It works whether clients find you through Techmatcher search or through a link you share directly.
You control what’s on it. Add services, tag them to skill categories, set service locations (home visits, office, remote), and write a summary that speaks to the clients you want to attract. The more complete your profile, the better your match scores.

A dashboard that keeps you on top of every engagement
When a client reaches out, you receive a Handshake request — a structured inquiry that includes their description of the problem, any urgency signals, and their preferred service location. You can accept, decline, or message them for more information before committing.
Your dashboard groups all active engagements by status — new requests, accepted conversations, confirmed commitments, and completed jobs — so nothing falls through the cracks. Each engagement has its own message thread, service commitment record, and payment history.
Speaking of payment — Business Providers are free to use Techmatcher’s payment engine or keep that part to themselves. Independent Technicians are paid through the platform.

A process that protects your time
Every engagement follows the same lifecycle: Handshake request → accepted → service commitment → in service → completed. At each stage, both parties confirm they’re aligned before moving forward. This structure eliminates the ambiguity that wastes your time on jobs that don’t go anywhere.
When a client confirms a booking, a deposit is collected — which means no-shows are compensated and your time is protected. Client contact information (phone number and address) is only released to you after the commitment is confirmed, so the platform maintains privacy on both sides until the deal is real.
Completed jobs generate ratings that build your reputation on the platform over time. Providers with strong track records rank better and attract more clients — a genuine meritocracy.
